Our latest major release covers a lot of ground. Tables and lists in the Worklio UI can be arranged to suit the way you work, employees and client users handle more updates themselves, and payroll teams get new tools in Back Office. Integration partners gain optional additions to the embedded API. Here is what stands out.
Tables and Lists You Arrange
Right-click any column header in the Worklio UI to reach the options:
Show or hide any column, and reset to the default
Drag columns into the order you want
Resize a column by dragging, or fit it to its content
Sort by any column, including one you have hidden
Export, and the file carries exactly the columns you see

The controls are on every table built on the new design.
More Handled in Self-Service
Everything about signing in now lives on one Sign-in & Security page: login email, password and recovery phone, reached from the account menu or from your Profile. The dashboard reminders to verify an email address or phone number open the same page.

Client users can edit eligible benefit deductions in self-service payroll
Client users with the right can update an employee’s W-2 form address
Emergency contact in the employee portal can be set to editable, read-only or hidden
Onboarding Handouts, Kept Once
A handbook or benefits guide goes into the onboarding document library once and serves every template that uses it. The master library and each client’s library in Back Office take PDF, JPG and PNG files as well as Word documents. Replace a file, and future onboardings pick up the new version. For each document you choose whether the new hire signs it or simply receives it.

Social Security numbers are masked as they are typed, with a show or hide option, on the start page, Employment Approval and the I-9
Indiana new hires pick their county during onboarding, and it carries through to tax setup
Non-binary and Decline to Report in EEO Reporting
Wherever gender is entered, the choices include Non-binary and Decline to Report, with helper text in self-onboarding that explains why the question is asked. The EEO-1 counts Non-binary employees, and the California Pay Data export maps them to its non-binary codes. Employees who decline are listed in the Missing EEO Data Report for follow-up.
New Tools in Back Office
For payroll teams, Back Office adds:
Tax corrections for many employees at once on Setup and Correction payrolls: export the calculated taxes to a protected workbook, enter overrides and upload it, and net pay, year-to-date values and billed taxes update as they do for a paystub edit
Employer match on spending accounts, with a match percentage and an annual limit
Benefits reports across several clients at once, with clients found by alternate ID
Edits to the current organization chart in the Worklio UI that carry into future-dated versions, and a warning in Back Office when you edit a version that a later one will replace
The regulatory packages released since the last major, with federal, state and local tax and minimum-wage updates
New Tools for Integration Partners
For partners who build on Worklio, the embedded API and its pages grow in several directions, each one optional for existing integrations:
Exempt or non-exempt status on employment contracts, set and read through the contract endpoints; optional, US employees only, and existing calls keep their default
Year-to-date values on the extended paystub, alongside its machine-readable tax identifiers
Holiday Groups through an iframe
Team time off, team attendance and time-off requests, embeddable for the Employee role
Polished Throughout
Alongside the headline features, this release smooths out everyday details. Payroll History lists the most recent payroll first and, for company administrators, keeps sort and column choices for the session. A Workers’ Compensation claim finds its employee by ID or name, an open date picker closes on Escape, and contract dates follow the company’s own timezone. Dozens of smaller refinements across payroll, time, benefits and onboarding round out a release that makes Worklio faster and more dependable.
